FlexCal ("we," "our," or "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data when you use FlexCal on your iPhone or iPad.
1. Information We Collect
FlexCal is designed with privacy at its core. The following types of data are created by you and stored locally on your device and, if enabled, in your personal iCloud account:
- Appointment and Event Data — Event names, dates, times, notes, locations, and custom form field values that you enter when creating appointments.
- Business Configuration — Event types, form templates, staff members, business hours, and display preferences you configure within the app.
- Customer Information — Names, phone numbers, email addresses, and physical addresses that you enter into appointment forms.
2. How Your Data Is Stored
FlexCal stores all data locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If iCloud is enabled on your device, your data is automatically synced across your devices through Apple's CloudKit service. We do not operate our own servers or databases. Your data never passes through our systems.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
We want to be clear about what we do not do:
- We do not collect, access, or store your personal data on any external server.
- We do not track your location, browsing activity, or app usage behavior.
- We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics SDKs.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
- We do not display advertisements in the app.
- We do not collect any data from children. The app is not directed at users under 17.
4. iCloud Sync
When iCloud is enabled on your device, FlexCal uses Apple's CloudKit to sync your data across your iPhone and iPad. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no ability to access your iCloud data.
5. Subscriptions and Payments
FlexCal offers subscription plans managed entirely through the Apple App Store. All payment processing is handled by Apple. We do not collect, process, or store any payment information, credit card numbers, or billing details. 6. Local Notifications
FlexCal may send local notifications to remind you of upcoming appointments. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and are not sent through any external server. You can manage notification permissions at any time in your device's Settings app.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Since all data is stored on your device and in your personal iCloud account, you have full control over your data at all times. You can delete individual events, staff members, event types, and form templates within the app. To delete all FlexCal data, you can delete the app from your device and remove FlexCal data from your iCloud storage through your device's Settings.
8. Your Rights
Because FlexCal does not collect or store your data on our servers, your data is always under your control. You can:
- View, edit, or delete any data directly within the app.
- Disable iCloud sync at any time through your device settings.
- Delete the app and all associated data from your device.
- Request information about our data practices by contacting us.
9. Third-Party Services
FlexCal uses Apple MapKit to display map previews for address fields. When you enter an address, it is processed through Apple's mapping services on your device. This is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. No other third-party services are used.
10. Security
Your data is protected by the security features built into iOS and iCloud, including device encryption and iCloud encryption. We recommend keeping your device software up to date and using a strong passcode to protect your data.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
